Soccerlens Awards 2010

The 2010 Soccerlens Awards are now open for business!

If you’re new here, you might be wondering – what the hell are the ‘Soccerlens Awards’ and why should I care?

Simply put, the Soccerlens Awards – or the SLAs – are the most prestigious awards any football website or football writer on the Internet can win. Since their inception in 2007, the Awards have run the rule of thousands of websites and hundreds of talented bloggers every year, with only the best of the very best coming out at the top as worthy winners.

Over the years the Soccerlens Awards have become the most sought-after accolade for football bloggers everywhere, as well as the key resource for football advertisers and PR agencies looking to identify the top football blogs.

This year’s Awards promise to be better than ever before, with a brand new website, our first sponsors in Castrol (who also sponsor the World Cup and the Euros) and a partnership with Studs Up Football Club (the #1 football clothing line), as well as a revamp of the award categories based on the feedback we’ve received in the last year.

Everything you need to know about this year’s awards – how they work, how to nominate your favourite sites, when voting opens and closes – is explained here.

Plus there’s tons of new stuff coming your way – such as our daily blog, where you can follow our progress, the Special Awards (courtesy of our sponsors) and the Studs Up FC discount for all Soccerlens Awards readers (more details here).

So stay tuned – you can follow the Soccerlens Awards throughout the next 5 weeks on Facebook and Twitter – and head over to the Nominations page to tell us who YOU think are the best websites and writers of 2010.
