2010 Soccerlens Awards
The Soccerlens Awards celebrate the best in football. Every year, Soccerlens selects the best football writers and the best football websites of all niches (blogs, forums, podcats, communities, fansites, and more) and gives football fans the chance to vote for their favourites.
Since their launch the Awards have been regularly referenced by mainstream media and football advertising and PR agencies as a key resource. The Awards have been featured in BBC, Guardian, The Times, Fox Sports, Sports Illustrated, CNN and Yardbarker, as well as referenced by key football advertisers such as Castrol, Coke and Sony to identify the best football sites and bloggers online.
The Soccerlens Awards were started by Ahmed Bilal, chief editor of Soccerlens.com, in 2007 to recognise the efforts of independent football bloggers in creating valuable resources for football fans around the world. The Awards are supported by World Cup 2010 and Euro 2012 sponsors Castrol, who have identified the key role that Soccerlens plays in selecting and sharing the best in online football media.
